Micropore is standard in the IKON kilns as part of the 3 layer insulation.
The upgrade is available for the Artizan and the EPIK kilns.
It is a higher grade insulation which results in more efficient firing reducing your electrical use by about 20% for only 10% extra on your kiln purchase.
Please note that as it is more insulated, it will also increase the time your kiln takes to cool down. Please note this and take into consideration based on your needs.
