The classes are run out of our working studio in Torquay. The “wheel room” is a beautifully light- filled space overlooking the garden and resident chooks! The prep and hand building space is a large area with slab rollers, hand extruders, slump moulds and pug mills. Our aim is to have you come to class a beginner and leave being able to continue to practice at home, or join in for future classes or social get togethers.
Beginner Wheel Throwing Classes

We run 3 hour "taster" Classes as well as 4 weeks Intensive classes.
The Taster courses are a brief snippet of learning to throw on the wheel (we will trim and glaze your work.
The 4 week classes (3 hours each session) we go into more depth into different types of clay and its use. You will trim and glazing your own work.
We use high quality clay and studio glazes in both our courses.
Although they are designed with the beginner in mind, many students who have attended other classes have found they learnt a great deal more about the process and progress their throwing immensely taking more in each class.
It is recomeneded to do 2 or more beginner classes before signing up to the master classes.
MASTER CLASSES

At times we will offer classes that are varied and specific to certain skills and outcomes. These can be, but not limited to plate making, bowls, mugs, dinner sets, and larger forms. These can range from a few hours to 1 day to 2 days. These are not usually regularly scheduled, but you can express and interest and email me what you would like to learn here, and we can do our best to organise something. HAND BUILDING

These classes run from a couple of hours duration to 6 x 2 hour sessions. In the sessions we cover clay and its uses, basic hand building techniques like pinch pots, coiling, slab building and slump moulds. Again these courses run usually once or twice per term. HENS NIGHTS/DAYS, “PINOT & POTTER” , Corporate "TEAM Building" and PRIVATE TUITION

If you would like to take your pottery to the next level with private tuition, or book a special occaision class such as hens nights/days, in house and external "team building", couples sessions and private tuition, please get in contact here to book in.
We also run "Pinot and Potter" session from time to time and 3 hour "taster" courses.
