Potterycrafts, which has over 100 years of merged business experience (as explained below) is also based at the heart of ceramics at Stoke on Trent in the UK. Potterycrafts is one of the biggest suppliers of Ceramic kilns in the UK and Europe.
Potterycrafts is a trusted supplier of kilns for schools and industry in the UK and Worldwide. Due to their steep tradition with the combined knowledge of many companies, in addition to their the kilns been known for durability and quicker cooling properties (to turn your work over in a timely manner), they are the go to for schools and art spaces who are after a reliable kiln, at a good price, that they can cut down their cooling time.
In 2024, Kilncare, who are located right round the corner from Pottery Crafts, took over the manufacturing of Potterycrafts kilns. Creating the UK’s biggest manufacturer of ceramic and glass kilns combined. Combining skills, knowledge and experiences under one roof, gives a whole new level of collaboration and product development!
When Potterycrafts reached out to Australian Pottery Supplies in 2025 to become their sole distributor in Australia, we couldn’t say no. With such an amazing history behind them, combined with our experience with dealing with Kilncare, and Kilncare’s high recommendation of their long standing relationship with Potterycrafts, we felt they were such a great fit with our company. This would also give us the ability to offer a diverse range of products to cover a wider range of budgets for our customers. After our conversations with them we feel their values align with us here at Australian Pottery Supplies and are happy to offer their products to our valued customers.

A bit more of background about Potterycrafts!
Potterycrafts was formed in 1983 with the merger of three industrial companies steeped in tradition - Podmore, Wenger and Harrison Mayer. Their experience combined making kilns for over 40 years. Potterycrafts also incorporated kiln builders Webcott, part of Wengers and one of the longest established craft kiln manufacturers in the country.
In 1988 Potterycrafts became a separate, stand alone company when their sister company in France, Ceradel was also formed.
Following the formation of the independent company in 2006, Potterycrafts purchased All About Crafts, a leading company supplying a range of non-ceramic craft materials.
In 2011 they acquired Bramwell’s, a Blackburn based trade supplier well known for their diverse range of paper, colour, yarns and stamping products.
Potterycrafts bought the Roderveld business in 2013 and relocated the manufacture to Stoke-on-Trent and expanded their product range even further.
In 2014 La Fourmi, a Belgian Craft Supplier, became part of the group, expanding their product range again!
In 2021 Potterycrafts took yet another step in merging tradition and collaboration and merged with Tiranti. Tiranti, founded in 1895, is one of the premium manufacturers of tools, sculptural materials, and casting materials.
